Charlotte was created from a world of illusion, from the challenge of turning a two-dimensional element infinitely multiplying shapes. The light resembles that of waves pulling away from the shore, leaving little illuminated drops behind. Charlotte’s sculptural shape seems to be molded from a singular, industrious frame, much like honeycomb with its impalpable elements. Its concentric, hexagonal shapes allow for unending views.

Solid, yet fluid: the magical effect is created with an invisible steel frame hidden under layers of Slamp’s innovative Lentiflex®, a material that liquifies LED illumination. The light is transformed into a soft, uniform, almost weightless, floating glow. The design and bend of the floor lamp were inspired by the outreached hands of Michelangelo’s “Last Judgement” in the Sistine Chapel. The light touch dimming system is ergonomically placed, and blinks when the lamp is at minimum and maximum brightness. Idea strips away design, leaving the essence of light; a three-dimensional “bulb” and a brass-finish screw base, magically suspended on a wall-base that comes in a brushed brass, mirrored, or white matte finish. Also available in a recessed wall lamp version that plays on the unexpected, ironic effect of an idea popping up when, and where, you least expect it.
